With the help of his family, by 1998 Tim accumulated enough tooling and his first 2 machines to start the business. Tim was soon to be married to his wife Jennifer and decided to name the business after her. Jenniferkolb needed to be shortened for a business name so it became Jeniko. Jeniko started in a 2,000 square foot space in Schaumburg, IL. The business would see mostly good times and also weather a couple recessions throughout the years. After 13 years in Schaumburg and expanding into multiple units within the building, it was evident that it was time to build a building and give Jeniko more room to expand. In 2012 Jeniko moved into a brand new 10,000 square foot building. As the business continues to grow in physical size, it also continues to grow in capability and technology. Jeniko constantly seeks new and innovative ways of increasing efficiency and honing processes to meet today’s challenges and tomorrow’s demands.
Founded in 1998, Jeniko was a vision in the making for many years prior to inception. Owner Tim Kolb grew up working in his father’s machine shop from the time he was 8 years old washing machines to eventually working evenings throughout his high school years running the machines. He worked there several more years after high school completing his training and focusing on what it takes to run a successful business.
