History of Jeniko

Founded in 1998, Jeniko was a vision in the making for several years prior to inception.  Owner and founder Tim Kolb grew up working in his father’s machine shop from the time he was 8 years old.  As a youngster he started out washing machines to eventually working evenings throughout his high school years running the machines.  He worked there full time several years after finishing high school to complete his training and education on what it takes to run a successful business.

By 1998 Tim accumulated enough tooling and his first 2 machines to start in business.  He was soon to be married to his wife Jennifer and decided to name the business after her.  Jeniko started in a 2,000 square foot space in Schaumburg, Illinois.  Throughout the years, business would see mostly good times and also weather a couple recessions.  After spending the first 13 years in Schaumburg and expanding into multiple units within the building, it was evident that it was time to give Jeniko room to expand.   In 2012 Jeniko moved into a new 10,000 square foot building in South Elgin, Illinois where it resides today. As the business continues to grow in physical size, it also continues to grow in technologies and capabilities.  Jeniko is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to increase efficiencies while honing processes to meet today’s demands and tomorrow’s challenges.
